A very simple test that can be carried out in any Perfusion Department. The pump was set at 0.6LPM.
You can see that even with the side holes exposed there is no air entering the line at the start of the procedure. If you look at the time stamps you can therefore see what difference that makes to the efficiency of the TEMED Mini Sucker compared to the product below.
You will also see how little fluid (blood) would be wasted at the end of the procedure.

You can see that due to the design this product pulls in more air than the TEMED Mini Sucker therefore it is not as efficient. You can see from the time stamps how much longer it takes to remove fluid. You can also see how much fluid is left at the end. There is also the potential for activation due to the blood air mix.
